Baby & Childcare Consultancy and Maternity Nurse Services

Rachel provides a Consultancy and Maternity Nurse Service to parents offering help with and advice on newborns, growing babies and toddlers. Rachel is an advocate of a flexible, loving routine and has seen this method work very successfully for many years with her clients’ babies as well as her own children and grandchildren.
There are three levels of services Rachel can offer:

Maternity Nurse

Ante-natal
Rachel can help you prepare for your new baby. This includes preparation of the nursery and all that will be needed for the new baby and what to expect during those first few days when baby comes out of hospital.

Post-natal
Rachel is happy to live in for a few days or to visit daily to help mum with baby. She will care for both, ensuring mum gets the rest she needs. She will also teach and guide the parents in the general care and feeding of baby and helping to get baby into a flexible routine.
Rachel will also go into a home where mum is tired and needs a rest or just a few nights off. Rachel can offer her services on a 24 hour basis, looking after both mother and baby; sleeping in the same room as the baby, helping mother with breast/bottle feeding, sleeping and any other aspect to help you with your baby.
Rachel can also look after the baby if you would like to go out or get on with the cooking, bottles or ironing for instance – but she doesn’t do housework!

Consultant
This is an advice service, either over the telephone, by e-mail or in person when Rachel can do home visits, depending on location etc. She will talk through any problems or concerns and come up with a plan to solve them. For example:

General Care

This aims to give help with the practical aspects of looking after the baby if mum needs help in feeding and caring for baby. Also if she needs little breaks – in order to be able to pop out to do the shopping etc. Rachel would be extra support for the mother where needed. This is not as extensive as the full Maternity Nurse service.

PRICES(please note all prices are subject to VAT)

Maternity Nurse Services:

£246 per 24 hours. £276 for twins. Contact Big Ape Media for details of prices for triplets or more, along with Rachel's weekly rates.

Nights only (7.00pm – 7.00am) £166 per night

Consultancy Services:

	Telephone advice £36 per half hour for the first half hour. £30 for subsequent half hours within the same call.
	E-mail advice: £24.00

Home Visit – Consultancy £78.00 per hour for the first two hours, £55.00 per hour for subsequent hours.

General Care Services:

Home visit – General care £28 per hour for ½ day, £22 per hour for a full day
